Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova, after an initial summer testing period along the A4 Brescia–Padova motorway section between Soave and Verona Est, will continue testing the new CB Advisor alert system, designed to automatically broadcast a pre-recorded, static warning message via citizens band radio frequencies, repeated cyclically.
Following the first tests carried out in the Verona area, the system was moved during August to the Peschiera area to notify truck drivers of the temporary traffic ban for vehicles weighing over 7.5 tons on the Regional Road 450 Peschiera–Affi (SR 11 Dir).
In the coming days, the CB Advisor system will be installed at km 321+000 on the westbound carriageway to pre-alert truck drivers about the presence of a fixed construction site for the new Montecchio Maggiore toll station, located in the direction of Milan between the Montecchio and Montebello exits.
Vehicles traveling in both directions will simultaneously receive a bilingual message (Italian and English) warning them of the upcoming roadworks at least 3 km in advance, specifying the location and direction:
“Message from Autostrada Brescia–Padova. Attention: roadworks on A4 towards Milan between Montecchio and Montebello.”
The goal of Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova is to ensure that truck drivers remain constantly alert and ready to respond appropriately to possible traffic disruptions and/or roadworks, by informing them in advance and enabling them to prepare for any situation.
